Hollywood Wavy Hair / Curly Hair {STYLE HAIR}

ACHIEVING HOLLYWOOD WAVES!
Wavy Hair- Curly Hair
***
WAVEY EXAMPLES:

All you need to know is ONE TRICK! Dont CLAMP your poor hair in your curling iron! Take the curling iron in one hand and keep your thumb away from the lever and keep the curling iron CLOSED!

Take a strand of hair in your other hand and wrap it around and down the curling iron to give a natural wave!

Now...there's variations in doing this. The thicker the strand of hair, the more loose and natural. The thinner the strand, the more curly, but still natural looking. Make sure you have product in your hair before doing this.

What I do: To towel dry hair, I apply: Leave in Conditioner, Heat protection spray, and Mousse. (Mousse is the PERFECT product for all styles!)

Suggestions: If your hair is short, curl TOWARD the face. If it's long, curl AWAY from the face. And with the UNDER strands of hair, I only curl the bottom half of the strand. Practice makes perfect! I wear my waves for 2-3 days! On the second day I wake up and add Mousse to my dry curly hair, and maybe spritz it with some hair spray. and then lightly blow dry the product dry while scrunching a bit. On the third day I may have to re-curl 2-3 peices as well as flip it upside down and spritz it with hair spray while scrunching. It's easy and low maintenance! And SEXY!

Keep in mind that I dont teach you Beauty Tips without first trying! But Styling Hair is an all around passion! I think I've tried it all! Below is my Family picture and I'm sporting me some DAY2 waves!

If you're one of those who thinks you CANT go that long without washing your hair click HERE!

HAPPY WAVING!
p.s. They now have heat gloves you can purchase that will protect you from burns. (DEFINITELY needed with THIS technique!)

  9. I second the motion. I love this tip!! I loved curling my hair like that...back when it was longer than 2'' in the back:) I so wish I could go 2-3 days without washing my hair. My hair is so thin that if I don't wash it everyday it looks awful!! I guess I'll just have to covet your lovely locks:) Happy Tuesday!

  16. so are you supposed to let your hair dry after applying the mouse or curl it while still damp?
as you can see not knowledgeable about hair

  17. SOrry. No NEVER curl or straighten your hair when wet! I let my hair air dry for most of it and then if I'm in a hurry, I'll blow dry the rest. But I've discovered that freshly BlowDried hair can be too...what's the word...POOFY? So you'll have to calm it down before styling. Also, I DONT BRUSH IT OUT the day I do these waves, or the following days that i leave it in. Let the Mousse do the work for ya and let it dry and then style. I usually finish my overall style with airisol hairspray.

  19. What size curling iron do you use? Does is matter or is it all about the size of the strand you're curling? Love your blog!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Doesn't matter. Depending on the effect you want. I have an 1". But If I use thicker stands of hair, I get the same effect as a bigger barrel.

  21. You are my hero, and have gained a new faithful follower. I have wicked long, stick straight hair and I've tried for 2 yeas to figure out how to do that to my hair. Tried it this morning, and it worked beautifully. It only took me five minutes too.
