I've been searching for mini manikins for my daughter's room. I'm doing her room in a PARIS Theme and manikins are WAY too expensive no matter where I look.
EXCEPT! I found this one at the D.I. today for $3!
It's pretty heavy duty, and about a foot and a half tall!
Check out my transformation :)
It truely makes me giddy.
I honestly didn't think it was going to work. I was cutting away and hot glueing things everywhere! And it wasn't looking fabulous. I started out by covering it with the black fabric, and I actually gave up a couple times! So I decided that I'd just start trying to glue on the pin stripe dress fabric. Well, that's where things started looking up. I cut the neckline...and then started shaping the dress... I added 2 really cute gemmed buttons to the front...
And then the sequence neck-lining!
And then hammered in the back buttons...
Then added the top and a necklace...
And the beads...
I seriously did everything with scissors and a gluegun.

I would LOVE to collect a few of these! So I better keep my eyes open! Have you seen the jewelry holding ones? Mmm!
Stop by to see more PARIS revamps! Coming soon!
This is GORGEOUS! I'd love to have one in my room. I can't believe you found it at the DI. You must not live where I do, they want a fortune for most of the items here. Good job on the makeover!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!!! I'd love one, but I already know my cat would destroy it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are back posting again! I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is amazing. You could definitely sell these and dressers. They are both really cool!
