END TABLE REFURBISH

A beautiful old peice of furniture (under $5 at the D.I.)... Four hand picked peices of paper, adhesive spray and a thin board... Beautiful! and OH-SO classy! But we're not even close to being done...
The paper looks GEE-ORGEOUS! Eh? I'm loving this classy style, but this table is going in a CHIC house, so let's see what BLACK will do...

Mmm, I'm loving this...could I get a slice of cheesecake to go? (sorry, LOVE makes me think of cheesecake)... I'm crushing on this pattern of paper... Yes...THIS paper... So I decided to take a light wood stain and an old rag, and went around the edges of each paper to make it look older... To match the old paper, I took a sandpaper-block to the black chic table... Just a lil' sandin... ...and a lil' lovin... ...and beautiful wood detail...is enough to make me happy....
This isn't going in my house, but I think I found a good home for it.
I'll enjoy the pictures of my labor though.

Oh, this is so funny but I've got you beat. I only paid $2.50 for mine and it's very much like yours only it has a drawer in the end. Mine also has a hole in the top. What did you use to close the hole? Obviously it is something that the paper adhears to really well. I was considering tile for the top but that look just isn't what I am looking for.

You did a really nice job I love your table. I'm painting mine white~ ~Ahrisha~ ~

I can't believe your luck, I was at the Di twice in the last week and I spotted good things but they wanted upwards $40 for most things, what's happened to the DI? I'll keep looking. GREAT job I need something to transform, so jealous!

Your table is fantastic! I love everything about it from the black paint to the patterned papers, but I think distressing it was the best move of all. I just LOVE the results. You go girl! Definitely "Very Cuegly!"

Great work on this table - what an original thought - the scrapbook paper instead of the trials of getting glass for that table! Good job!
