NO SEW TUTUS!
I cant get enough of this, my insides are jumping on a trampoline! (Probably because I made a tutu for my daughter awhile ago and I just made it up and sewed it, and it turned out to be SUCH A HASSAL!) This is a DIY in less than 30 minutes! Need I say more?
Yes, I guess, I do need to. So here's the directions:

Yes, I guess, I do need to. So here's the directions:

MATERIALS NEEDED:
*4 yards TULLE
*Ribbon (length depending) OR you can use
an elastic waist band

an elastic waist band

I used an elastic for my first one. I measured my daughters waist and sewed the elastic ends together. (I know I said NO SEW, but come-on! 1/2" doesn't count. And if you use ribbon instead of elastic, you dont have to sew a thing!)

HERE'S MY ELASTIC
measured and sewed:
Fold up your TULLE as perfectly as you can, and then roll it up. (We're going to be making 3" strips and I find this to be easiest. You can cut each strip if you want to instead.)
Barely cut off the ends of each side of your roll getting rid of the folds.
Barely cut off the ends of each side of your roll getting rid of the folds.
Cut the roll about every 3 inches.
Unroll them, and you should have really long 3" strips. (You're going to cut each into smaller strips now, these are most likely too long). You want to cut it into strips that are TWICE THE LENGTH you want your tutu. I ended up just cutting each long strip in half.
Here's one hanging over my thumb.
It's one strip hanging the LENGTH I want my tutu. Because Tulle is hard to see, I used a ribbon as an example of how to tie the tulle strips onto the band.

do you have a video tutorial for those of us who need a little more visual aid? (i just need to see how you rolled it to cut it.) do you unfold it completely so it a large square, then roll or do you leave it folded in half the way it was when they cut it off the bolt?
