Recommended Reading and Review!

The Hunger Games Trilogy
Pros: It's action packed, never a dull moment. Keeps you on your toes and may make you gasp aloud. There's love intertwined with all of this (a love triangle, that is.) It's futuristic, which I was skeptical about, but completely changed my mind after reading it.
Cons: There's more than enough death.

REVIEW: Life in District 12 isn’t easy for Katniss and her family. Ever since her father died the girl has spent her time saving her mother and little sister Prim from starvation by hunting on forbidden land. But worst of all is reaping day. Once a year the government chooses two children (Ages 12-19 I believe) from each of the twelve districts to compete against one another in a live and televised reality show. Twenty-four total enter the competition, and only one survives. When Prim's name is called, Katniss immediatly changes places with her without hesitation to compete alongside the baker’s boy Peeta. To survive in this game you need to win the heart of your audience, and so District 12’s trainers come up with a plan. The plan involves twisted love in a do or die game! But in a game where only one person can live, Katniss will have to use all her brains, wits, and instincts to determine who to trust and how to outwit the game's creators.
2 & 3:In book two, you're thrown for more complete loops and wont be putting this book down as well. Book three comes out August 24(as someone just informed me! I totally thought it was April! I'm going to go cry...excuse me)
Thanks to Suzanne Collins for this MmmAzing series of goodness! And thank you to my readers for recommending it to me!
!Here's where you comment about your thoughts on the series or RECOMMEND OTHER BOOKS for the less sane...I'm SO ready for more reading material!

I just finished up the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, they've been really fun- the movie that just came out doesn't do the book justice by a landslide.
Pros: every book in the series is out so no waiting for the series to finish, they're easy to read and a fun story with both strong male and female protagonists
cons: sometimes the foreshadowing is a little obvious, but they're kid books and it gets better after the first book

Loved the first two books and can't wait for the third!

I just read the first in the Percy Jackson series, and am waiting for the rest from the library. I really enjoyed the first one.

The Uglies series is very good: Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras.

I bet you would also like Graceling and Fire - by Kristin Cashore. (I think that's right.)

I could go on forever about books - email me if you want any more suggestions. :)

I had no idea it was a series! I will be done with Hunger Games tonight.
Thanks for the review. I find the book strange, but I think it's just because it's so different from anything I've ever read.
