CHRISTMAS HELPERS:

No not Santa's elves, SILLY! I wanted to share some fun Christmas traditions and tips that you JUST might be interested in. (oh wait, I guess there IS one elf...you'll see)...

My favorite:
The Christ Book
It's a count down to Christmas to share with your kids and family every night, with detailed stories and songs and lessons to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. To find the download simply go HERE.

You can check out my list of ideas for stocking stuffers categorized into age and gender appropriate.
And you can find the list HERE.
But realize this list is GREAT to send to Santa for ideas (of coarse).

***
I've had my family ask about the Elf on the Shelf. It's the most brilliant thing south of the North Pole. You can purchase it HERE.
It tells the story of an elf on the shelf (that moves to a different location in the house every time the kids wake up). He's just keeping an eye out (for Santa's
naughty or nice list).
But if you want to see what the elf on the shelf has been up to...
Long lists of ideas will be found HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
***
HERE you will find a list of 10 GREAT neighbor gifts in a jar!
Thanks to my mom for helping out mucho grande this year with my neighbor gifts.
For a list of 30 more top neighbor gifts go HERE.

If your a theme fanatic like me and LOVE hosting! Check THIS out...

I haven't tried this, but I'm planning to. It's an over the stove holiday house aroma that keeps for weeks! For the recipe go HERE.

***
One of the most BRILLIANT things I've ever seen...(I like glittery things) is to take THESE mosaic mirror tiles and glue them back to back and hang them in your tree before the ornaments go on. This will quadruple your tree light :)
***
And finally...I give you the pleasure of sipping on this for the holidays:
1 gallon of apple juice (100% apple juice)
½ gallon of pineapple juice
1 cinnamon stick
5 clove pieces
½ t. nutmeg
1 orange, sliced
juice of 1 lemon
½ c. sugar
Combine all ingredients in a big pot on the stove and simmer for 2-3 hours. Or in a large crock pot for 2 hours on high, then turn to low or ‘keep warm’ and can be left on all day.
(My favorite method is in the crock pot.) Recipe from Helen Robinson of Canyon, Texas.."

Happy Cheering!

I love the little mirrors idea and the elf making an angel in the flour is so cute. I'll go to some of the links and check things out. This year I am decorating my tree with only candy and cookies.
