BEAUTY TIP TUESDAY... {B.S.}

WASHING YOUR HAIR WITH...
As strange as it may sound, baking soda is actually a great friend for your hair. While you’re in the shower, sprinkle a dash of baking soda into your palm and mix with your shampoo. Rinse and condition as usual. The baking soda helps remove impurities and build-up so your hair comes out looking shiny, soft, and super manageable. I did have to try this to believe it...and might I add that it worked wonders! I'm DEFINITELY a user of hairspray...It's my cement in a bottle...and this helped remove it without having to use too much shampoo, and my hair was more manageable after it was blown dry!

HOP TO IT!

Thanks Ruth and T

At this point we should all have Baking Soda and Olive Oil/Grape seed Oil on hand in the shower. I had a freindly follower email me and her little son asked if she was making cookies in the shower! I had a giggle fest!

That is a great tip! I am definitely going to try it because I have very long hair, and I like to try and keep it in as good of shape as I can.

I'll have to give this a try! I use a color-safe shampoo and don't feel like it gets my hair as clean as I would like it to.

Exactly! Professional shampoos are SO much better for your hair, but Baking Soda helps sud it up some more!

Oh what a great tip! Thank you - I'll be in the shower with BS tomorrow morning :) Paul Sebastian "Shaper" is my cement in a can.

I have been using ONLY baking soda and vinegar for about 2 months now and love the results. I ditched traditional shampoos because I was tired of my oily tempermental hair and now it's better than ever and I dont even have to wash my hair everyday!

Is this safe for color treated hair? I always wash with dawn dishsoap the night before I get my hair colored... it strips all the build up and also removes a touch of color... perfect for a fresh start!

I love baking soda I use it for every thing. Another great tip for it is add it to your face wash in your palm to make a great exfolator. It rivaled some great professional stuff I paid 20$ for at the beauty supply!! love it

I just had to try it this morning. I LOVED it! I massaged it into my hair and then let it sit for a minute until it stopped tingling a little and then rinsed real well. But I love the results! Especially after I blow dried my hair. Thanks for your awesome tips!
