In a quick 5 pics, here's an easy christmas present I made for a family member.
I took some of the HUGE stack of wooden blinds out in my garage... And painted 4 of them burgundy and 4 of them an Ivory white.
Glued em on a slab of ply wood like so...
Sanded the pooh out of them...
Took an old front yard decor and placed it (the star) in the top left corner...
And I had a lil piece of patriotism for the holidays. {with a daughter very willing to pose after waking up from a long nap}.
I didn't spend a thing on a pretty large christmas gift :) Now I just need to make one for myself and take a picture of it on the wall :)
Can you believe it's Christmas Eve day? Oh dear.

That is so cute!! We have extra flooring I don't knw what to do with and I hate to throw out and this idea is my favorite dso far!
