I saw THIS amazing mail organizer on Ucreate featuring bright and blithe. And immediately my mind went to the pile of papers and envelopes on top of my fridge. Hmmm....I think I should get on the ball! I sewed together a piece a Dark Grey fleece and a cream floral print inside out, flipped it and then sewed the open edge over making a loop to slide the ribbon in! (approx 24"x10" before loop sewn) And then I sewed on easy peasy pockets (w:5" x L: 6"). 
I ironed on the words FILE, PAY BILL, and ACTION REQUIRED. (with print off iron on paper) It was still looking boring to me...I know it's just for my mail...and I'll be organized either way, but I wanted to spice things up...First I put a piece of this cardboard in the loop to keep it straight. 
Then I painted (with acrylic craft paint) Three lil birds and branches on each pocket.

My lil bird deliverers make me feel like Harry Potter, Maybe I should've done owls...Laugh all you want, But I'm content now! No more bland and I'm all SORTS of organized!

love it. I saw that same tutorial and my wheels started to turn as well, thinking how I could personalize that project! Yours is cute! Love your little birdies...maybe seeing yours will be the motivation to get OUR giant stack of mail under control!!
That sure beats the mesh wire organizer I have on the counter....hmmmm maybe I should get on the ball!!! It's way cute and effective! I am lovin it!!!
